Mumcular

Mumcular is a small town and located 29 kilometers north of Bodrum. It has a population of about 15000 with its outlying villages and since 1972 the status of a municipality. The region is famous for its production of olives, tobacco and honey but now also renowned for its carpets.

If you prefer to be away from the bustle and hustle of the tourist areas, yet still have the benefit of village tranquility, then this traditional village could be just right for you. 

Tours from Bodrum arrive once or twice a week in Mumcular and its villages to see the village way of life and the art of carpet weaving.
